Resource Co-Management in the Mackenzie Valley Workshop, Yellowknife, February 4-6, 2020

This year, the Resource Co-Management in the Mackenzie Valley Workshop will be held in Yellowknife, February 4-6, 2020 at the Explorer Hotel. It is hosted by the Land and Water Boards of the Mackenzie Valley, as well the Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board, the Government of the Northwest Territories, and Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada. The theme this year will be Engagement and Consultation, with the intention of exploring “elements of the co-management system and how it works, and to identify opportunities for improvement - all with the lens of engagement and consultation.”[1] Registration for this year’s workshop is now closed; however, after the workshop concludes, look for a report and other related documents to be posted to the websites of each of the Land and Water Boards, as well as the Review Board if you are interested in viewing some of the presentations or reading an overview of what was shared this year.
